Sridevi
Sridevi was born on 13 August 1963 in Tamilnadu. Her real name is Shree Amma yanger Ayappan. She belongs to a tamil family. Her father Ayappan was a Tamil and her mother Rajeshwari was a Telugu. She has one sister and two step brothers. Sridevi is one of the most successful female actor of bollywood. She is an Indian actress who has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam, Hindi and Kannada films.She has been called the first female superstar of India. She has started her acting career during her childhood. She has started her career as a child actor at the age of four in Tamil movie Thunaivan. She has worked in many tamil and telugu movies. Sridevi's performance in "poompatta" malyalam movie won "kerela state film award for best child artist.
Not only she has worked as a child artist in tamil movies but also she has worked in hindi film "julie" as a child artist. In 1976 she started the leading role in tamil movie moondu mudichu then she has worked with Kamal Hasan and Rajnikanth. In 1981 she starred in tamil film meendum kokila which won her the filmfare award for best actress in tamil. Sridevi made her debut in hindi film "Solva sawan" in 1979. Four years later she worked opposite to Jeetendra in Himmatwala movie which was the turning point of her career. She gain stardom due to this movie and she became the lead heroine of bollywood. She is one of those female actors who worked with many great actors.
She has worked with Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, Jeetendra kaman Hasan and so on. She is appreciated by critics not only for her acting skills but also for her dancing skills. She is most rememberd for her Nagin role. Mr India was her one of the biggest blockbuster movies where she has worked opposite to Anil Kapoor.
Coming to her personal life we come to know that she has falle in love with Mithun chakroborty and according to rumor they have got married secretly. But Sridevi married to Bony Kapoor, a film producer and elder brother of Anil Kapoor. They have two daughters Jhanvi and Khushi.
