Anil kapoor was born on 24 december 1954 in chembur in mumbai.
His father Surendra Kapoor was a film producer.And his mather name is Nirmal Kapoor.He is a well known personality of Bollywood. He is one of dashing hero of Indian cinema.He is second of four children. His elder brother Boney kapoor is a film producer and his younger brother is an actor. Anil Kapoor complete his schooling in 'our lady of perpetual Succour high school' and graduated from St. Xavier College. He is an indian actor and producer, as well as he worked in hollywood movies. In his beginning filmy career he did many small roles in movies. Anil Kapoor made his debut when he was 12 yeras old ,playing a role of young Shashi kapoor in 'tu payal mein geet'.However film did not released theatrically.
In his beginning filmy career, he did small roles in movies.Anil Kapoor made his hindi film debut in 'hamare tumhare' in a small role.He then starred as a lead actor in tamil movie Vamsa Vruksham. He did a small role in shakti in 1982 where he shared screen with Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar.After playing the small role in Shakti, he played his first hindi film leading actor in 'woh saat din' in 1983. In these movie he proved his acting skill and show that one day he will become a big star.Then he made his Kannada debut in Pallavi Anu Pallavi. After then his career took a turning point. Yash Chopra cast him for his movie 'Mashal' as a Tapori. In these movie he shared screen with Dilip kumar.
He became popular for his movie mashal but he is remebered for his movie meri jung where he played the role of Angry Young Lawyer who fight for justice that gave him firs filmfare best actor nomination. Besides of his serious and angry roles , he also did comic roles. Anil Kapoor played comic tapori in Karma, which was the biggest hit of the year.But he is most remembered for his role in movie 'Mr India' where he played the role of Invisible man. Nobody can forget this movie of him. It is a unique concept directed by Shekhar kapoor. People also called him Lakhan for his character in 'Ram Lakhan' movie.
He is also most remembered for his movie Nayak. In these movie he got the opportunity to become a chief minister and inspire people for our country. He married to Sunita Bhavnani Kapoor. The couple has two daughters Sonam Kapoor who is also an actress and younger sister Rhea Kapoor is an film producer and a son harshvardhan kapoor who is also an actor. In his filmy career he also did Hollywood movies like Slumdog millianare and Mission Impassible with Tom Cruise. He also did television series 24. He won his first filmfare award for supporting actor in Mashaal movie.
In 1988 he was rewarded for filmfare best actor award for his film Tezaab, the biggest blockbuster of 1988.
