Shehenshah movie
In this blog i am talking about blockbuster movie shehenshah. We can say it was the India's first superhero movie because shehenshah character which is the lead character of movie hides his personality from people and protect people from violent act which is done by corrupt people. Sheheshah movie was released in 1988 starring Amitabh Bachchan who play the role of Shehenshah and Minikshi shishadri was the lead female actor of the movie.And India' s most dangerous , lovable villain Amrish puri played the role of J.k Verma who was the main villain of movie and Prem Chopra also played the role of supporting villain.The film was produced and directed by Tinnu Anand and the story of the film was written by Jaya Bachchan, wife of Amitabh Bachchan and the sceenplay was written by veteran screenwriter InderRaj Anand who died before the film released. This film was the comeback of legend actor Amitabh Bachchan from politics. This film became the blockbuster movie and give a unique impact on audience because this movie was the different from any other movie.This movie is based on the corrupt system who do torture on poor people and do smuggling of wine,drugs etc.
Movie opens with corrupt bank manager Mathur. He is in financial dilemma as he has illegally loaned 2.5 million rupees. Inspector Anand Srivastava (Kader Khan) who was the father of Amitabh Bachchan in this movie gets wind of this plot. He arrested a key henchman of J.K and is about to crack the case when J.k verma enlist an exotic dancer , julie, to use robbery as a backdrop and frame the honest inspector for corruption. Inspector Srivastava is arrested and imprisoned for three months . Inspector Srivastava is very depressed about the false charges that he hang himself at home and this incident give a powerful impression to his 8 years old son Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) who became the police officer after 20 years and he is also shehenshah but he hides shehenshah personality and protect people.At the end of movie he hanged J.k Verma(Amrish puri) in court.
This movie became the blockbuster movie of its unique storyline and direction. It is highly appreciated by people and critics.The iconic costume of Shehenshah which is wear by Amitabh Bchchan had 18kg weight. All great singer of Indian cinema like Kishore Kumar, Lata mangeskar and Asha bhosle had worked in this movie.
