In my blogs i am talking about Bollywood. Bollywood give a big personality to the world who give a big impact on audience mind by their acting skill.So now i am talking about one of great actor Prem Chopra.Prem Chopra was born on 23 september 1935 in Punjabi hindu family in Lahore.His father name is Ranbirlal and his mother name is Rooprani chopra.He is the third of his six brothers and sisters.After the partition his family moved to Shimla where he did his schooling and also worked in theaters.He graduated from Punjab University.He took part in college play. After completed his graduation he went to mumbai.His father was a government officer and he wanted that his son Prem Chopra be a doctor or Indian administrative service but he always wanted to be a actor.
In initial days he he stayed at guest house in Mumbai. The he started visiting studio with his portfolio but he did not get the work in movies.So he got a job in Times of India.After so many struggle when he was travelling in a train , a stranger look at his photo and asked him to work in Punjabi movie and Prem Chopra agreed to work in Punjabi movie.Then he got his first break in 'Shahid' film where he did the role of Sukhdev.And it is one of his rare positive role.While he was shooting for movie he was also doing his job in Times of India. But for Upkar movie he resigned his job in Times of India.He always wanted to be a lead hero but his destiny made him a great villain of Bollywood.
He worked in 'woh kaun thi' movie where he did a small villain role and he became a villain of Indian film cinema. Then he did only negative role in movies. His dialog delivery is appreciated by people.His negative roles in movies is greatly appreciated by people.He has worked with Rajesh Khanna in 19 movies.He got roles as a villain with Amjad Khan, Ranjeet, Madan puri, Amrish puri and many more.His dialog 'prem naam hain mera' in Bobby movie has been very popular. He had a good filmy career and he was a popular villain of Bollywood.Prem Chopra regards his best roles were in 'Shaheed', 'purab or paschim', 'Do rastey', 'Kati Patang','Do ajnabi','Jadu tona','Kala sona' and many more.
Prem Chopra married to Uma who is a younger sister of Raj Kapoor's wife.They have three daughters Rakita, Punita and Prerana.Raj Kapoor is his Brother in law.As Prem Chopra is a great actor of Bollywood , he was honoured with 'Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini award' in 1998.In 2004 he won the 'legend of Indian cinema' award at Atlanta city.He has also won filmfare award for best supporting role in Do Ajnabi movie in 1976.He has also won a 'Lion club award','Ashoka award' ,'Ashirwad award' and 'punjabi kala sangam award'.
