Bollywood is a collection of variety of actors.It gave many different actors to Indian cinema.Bollywood is not only for lead hero, it has different actors for different characters.We all are talking about lead hero, villain but we forget supporting roles of actors who give big impact in movies.So now i am talking about one of great comedian actor Johny Lever.Johny Lever was born on 14 August 1957 in Telugu Christian family in Prakasam in andhra Pradesh. His real name is John Prakash Rao janumala. He is famous for his comedy. He did comedy roles in many movies. People loved his comedy accent so much. His presence in movie gives a big smile on people face. People wait for his act in movies.
He belongs to the lower middle class family background.He studied in Andhra education society English High school till the seventh class but could not study further because of his family financial problem. So he decided to quit study and started working odd jobs.By selling pens on the street of mumbai by imitating Bollywood stars and dancing to songs of Bollywood star.He spent his early days in Yakutpura, city of Hyderabad where he learnt unique style of comedy acting.The story of changing his name from John Prakash Rao janumala to Johny lever is that he worked in Hindustan unilever limited and in every function of company he performed on stage so his friend called him Johny Lever and he decided to keep his name.
Before coming to Bollywood he did some performances on stage.
He started to perform standup comedy in music shows.And after earning the fame he joined the Kaltanji Anandji, a legendary music director duo.He quit Hindustan unilever limited in 1981 and he did a lot of shows with them.He also did a world tour with Amitabh bachchan.At one of his shows the producer and actor Sunil Dutt showed his talent and offered him his first movie 'Dard Ka Rishta'.
Then he worked in Tejab with Anil Kapoor and kasam.Sunil Dutt give his first break in movie but He did small role in 'Tum Par Hum Qurban' before 'dil ka Rishta' movie.
As Johny Lever worked in many movies but his major success came with Bazigar where he worked with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. In this movie he did the role of servant who had a disease of forgetting. In this movie People loved his acting, his comedy accent.It is the most remembered role of his filmy career. Johny Lever is one of great comedy and supporting actor of Bollywood.
He also acted in telugu movie as his mother tongue is telugu so he fluently speak telugu. He also did Television show 'Johny Aala Re'.
He married to Sujatha and the couple has a daughter jamie and a son Jesse.He has acted in more than 300 films.He has won two filmfare award for comedian actor.
